How does Tailored work?

Tailored analyses your current wardrobe, style goals, lifestyle, and budget to highlight gaps and high-value outfits that are the right fit for you. It’s brand-agnostic (unless you specify and ask for your favourite brands) and scores items on versatility, similarity of items already owned (you don't need the same 19 white shirts unless, of course, that is your style), number of different outfits you could pair an item with rest of your wardrobe, cost-per-wear, and longevity so you buy less but better.

How does TAILORED score and recommend clothing items?

Accepted Answer

Every item you add to TAILORED is evaluated using our AI-powered scoring system, so you can make confident, informed buying decisions. Here’s what each score means:
 • Overall Score (0–100): Your AI-powered clothing score, combining all factors into one clear number. 100 is a 'STRONG BUY' and 0 is a 'STRONG DON'T BUY'
 • Potential Outfits: The number of unique outfits TAILORED can create with this piece using your existing wardrobe.
 • Similar Items: How many pieces you already own that are similar in style, color, or function.
 • Material Quality (1-Low/5-High): An assessment of the fabric and construction to estimate durability and longevity.
 • Cost per Wear: The value you get from each use, based on the item’s price, outfit potential, and likelihood you will wear it based on your lifestyle.
 • Style Match (1-Low/5-High): How well the item fits your current wardrobe style and aesthetic.
 • Lifestyle Need (1-Low/5-High): How much the item suits your real-life routines and occasions.
Our system balances style, value, and practicality helping you see at a glance whether a piece is worth adding to your wardrobe or best left on the rack.

Question 3

Do I need to upload my entire wardrobe?

Accepted Answer

No. Start with 15-20 staples (or choose similar items from our library) and you’ll get useful guidance right away. The more you upload, the more better guidance Tailored will give you. We've also made uploading as easy as possible, you don't have to take specific photos of your pieces - Tailored works with photos of you wearing them or multiple pieces on the same photo. We are also working on a video feature where you can take a video to show your collection and Tailored extracts the pieces for you!

Will Tailored tell me not to buy something?

Accepted Answer

Yes that’s a core feature. We flag duplicates, low-versatility items, and impulse buys, then suggest smarter alternatives or a “cool-off” period so you keep your money (and closet) for what truly works.

When can I use it and what does it cost?

We’re rolling out early-access invites in stages. Beta access is free; we’ll announce optional paid tiers (for power features like unlimited items and advanced recommendations) before they launch. No surprises, no charges without consent. Watch this space for updates as we refine our value offering.

How do recommendations improve over time?

With each save, dismiss, or purchase you log on recommendations given, Tailored learns what you actually wear and like. We recalculate cost-per-wear, update gaps, and adjust suggestions so results get sharper every week. You’re in control: hide any styles with one tap or give us direct feedback.
